Howard County Office of Workforce Development’s (OWD) focus

is geared towards meeting the workforce and employment needs of businesses and job seekers in the 21st century labor market. Our objective is to provide excellent customer services to anyone using our resources. Our services are offered at the Columbia Workforce Center in partnership with Maryland’s Department of Labor Licensing and Regulations Division of Workforce Development, the Professional Outplacement Assistance Center and Department of Rehabilitation Services. Our goal is to present comprehensive employment service under one roof at the Columbia Workforce Center. The Columbia Workforce Center offers customers a wide range of tools and resources necessary to help business and job seekers remain competitive in today’s workforce and achieve their employment goals. We assist companies and individuals ranging from professional, technical, and managerial to entry level.

"On-Site Career Tools & Resources"

Our center offers customers a variety of tools to aide them in their job search. Our full service workforce center is equipped with computers, fax machines, telephones, internet access, and copiers—all to assist you with your employment search. We hold customized recruitment events for businesses and have space to use for interviewing. In addition, the center offers employment workshops to help job seekers keep abreast of today’s changing workforce.
