Community Parks

There are eighteen Community Parks in Howard County. From Alpha Ridge to Worthington they provide active and passive recreational opportunities. They also serve organized sports groups. Most are developed, some have been left in their natural state. Information about these parks is currently being added to our website with a goal of listing some information about each of the sites.

High Ridge Park

GazeboThis 94-acre park bordering the Patuxent River features a tennis court, a basketball court, a gazebo, restrooms, a pavilion, a playground, trails, and woodlands. With only six developed acres, there's plenty of room to observe nature.

Meadowbrook Park

5001 Meadowbrook Lane, Ellicott City, MD 21043

Tennis CourtsThis 77-acre park features three baseball fields; an open-play area; a large playground for all abilities; two tennis courts; two basketball courts; two picnic pavilions; and approximately 2.5 miles of sidewalks and pathways, plus a 2.5-mile loop circling the park, parking, landscape, and restroom facilities. The final phase of development for this park will add a 33,000 square-foot indoor recreation facility.
