About 2,000 citizens joined us at GreenFest 2010 to kick off Earth Month. With over 100 vendors, displays provided citizens with practical information about steps to take both at home and work to promote more ecologically sound lifestyles and save money. The event focused on purchasing green products, ecological home cleaning and lawn care, alternative energy, water conservation and reuse, organic and local food, and tips for greening everyday activities.

Children excitedly checked out our live animal displays, and visitors enjoyed lunch with vegetarian and organic wraps from The Great Sage and Roots Market. Visitors were able to collect their favorite great green giveaways throughout the festival! We also collected many used cell phones and eyeglasses for donation to the needy, and binoculars for children learning to bird watch in Howard County.
