Essential duties include responding to calls for emergency medical requests, fire suppression, rescue and other emergency services. After completion of academy training, an additional probationary period for permanent appointment is required.

Current entry rate is $19.30 per hour. The typical academy training schedule is a 40-hour work week, for approximate annual earnings of $40,136.

Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)

    August 15, 2009 CPAT Pretest
    Sign-up begins on August 3, 2009 and will end on August 10, 2009.


    CPAT TEST DATES:

    August 17, 2009
    August 19, 2009
    August 22, 2009


    Sign-up ends on: August 10, 2009 for ALL test dates


    Only candidates that have taken and passed the HCFR written entrance exam are eligible to participate in the CPAT process.


Panel Interview

    Candidates that successfully complete the written exam and Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) will be invited to participate in a panel interview.

    Information on the interview location and times will be made available to you at that time.
