Trotter Road Stream Bank Stabilization to Begin
ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to stabilize an eroding stream bank adjacent to Trotter Road in Columbia is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, June 11. The project will include construction of a stacked stone wall to protect the stream bank and Trotter Road. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by early August 2012.
Beginning June 11, Trotter Road will be closed at the work site, approximately a quarter mile north of Summer Sunrise Drive and approximately a quarter mile south of Red Clover Lane. Traffic will be detoured using Great Star Drive and Maryland Route 108.
Informational signs will be posted to advise motorists of the construction and detour. Additionally, a recorded message at 410-313-3638 will carry details and updates.
