Birth Certificates

To obtain a Birth Certificate please visit:

• Birth Certificates may be obtained for a $35.00 fee.
• You must present a current photo identification card (must be a picture ID).
• Cash, Credit Card (Visa, Discover, Mastercard), check or money order made payable to: Director of Finance. 
• Applicants must have been born in Maryland after 1939.
• Only parents or legal guardians (must provide proof of guardianship) may obtain a child's birth certificate.
• Applicants must be the person named or the parent to obtain an adult's birth certificate.

Death Certificates

To obtain a Death Certificate:  

• Death Certificates may be obtained by Funeral Directors ONLY.
• There is a charge of $35.00 for the first death certificate and $20.00 for each additional copy.
• Funeral Directors may visit the following location:
