Child Health Programs offered by the Howard County Health Department include the Infants and Toddlers Program, WIC, Child Advocacy Center, Case Management for children with elevated blood lead. In addition, outreach, information and referral services are offered. Hearing and vision screenings are offered to students in specific grades within Howard County public and private schools. The Bureau of Child Health Launches a Website for Teens

Healthy Happy Safe Teen Web picHoward County Health Department’s Bureau of Child Health launched a teen health website this week. TeenHealthMatters.org website is aimed at teens and the role they can play in their own health decisions. It brings information and resources to teens about whole health, body and mind. Topics incorporated into the new site include: Stress, Feeling Down, Nutrition & Wellbeing, Sex, Sexuality & Safe Relationships, Drugs & Alcohol and Parents & Teens.  Visit the new website at TeenHealthMatters.org.
