Dates to Remember Saturday, September 4, 2010 - Expect delays at the Alpha Ridge Landfill, as the transfer station will be closed for floor repairs. Temporary traffic patterns will direct trailers and dumping vehicles to the landfill face. The Residents’ Convenience Center will be open. Wood and Yardwaste disposal will not be affected.
September 25, 2010 Bring unwanted prescription medication to the Northern District Police Station (3410 Courthouse Dr), the Southern District Police Station (11226 Scaggsville Rd) or the Laurel Police Station (811 Fifth St). For more information and additional collection locations, click here.
Howard County residents can dispose of trash and recycling items at the Alpha Ridge Landfill. Residents using the landfill are required to show their driver's licenses as proof of residence in Howard County each time they enter. NOTE: Residents disposing of construction, demolition and home improvement waste will be charged the commercial tipping fee ($65/ton). This includes deliveries mixed with household waste. COMMUNITY CLEANUP Communities can call Environmental Services (410-313-6444) to request a form for delivery of a weekend community clean up dumpster. The limit is twice yearly; there is no fee. | |||||||
