Howard County State Legislation

The following information is presented by the Howard County Office of Public Information as a service to residents on behalf of the members of Howard County's State Delegation to the Maryland General Assembly, chaired by Elizabeth Bobo, Maryland House of Delegates and James Robey, Maryland Senate

The Howard County Delegation of the Maryland General Assembly will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 on proposed local legislation. The hearing will be held at the Banneker Room of the George Howard Building in Ellicott City at 7:30pm. Should the public hearing carry over to a second evening, a second hearing date is scheduled for Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at 7:30pm. A public hearing on statewide issues is scheduled for Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at 7:30pm, at the same location.

Persons may provide oral and/or written testimony. Sign in sheets for individuals wishing to testify in person will be available outside the board room on the evening of the hearing. Oral testimony will be limited to three (3) minutes. Written testimony should be limited to one page and contain the name, address, and phone number or email address of the person providing the testimony. The delegation requests fifteen (15) copies of any testimony, which is to be distributed on the night of the hearing. Written testimony may also be emailed in advance to for distribution to the delegation members.
