Go back in time with this on-line stroll along the pathways of
The Enchanted Forest...Howard County's famous fairy tale attraction opened in 1955. Click on the Gingerbread Man above to begin your journey and follow him through the magic home of nursery rhymes and storybook characters.

One of the first theme parks of its kind in the country, The Enchanted Forest opened one year after Disneyland! Closed in 1985, the entrance sign and castle are now part of the Enchanted Forest Shopping Center.

Recent efforts to rescue many of the fairytale buildings and characters inside the park are now under way with the help of Preservation Howard County. You can see Cinderella's restored pumpkin coach and Mother Goose at their new home, Clark's Elioak Farm on Route 108 in Ellicott City. (CLICK HERE)
