The Department of Citizen Services serves as the human service agency for county government and touches the lives of:

• children and youth and their parents,

• people with disabilities,

• consumers who have complaints about a business,

• individuals in crisis and

• older adults.

Office of the Director

Office on Aging is the principal agency that plans, advocates, develops, and coordinates programs and services for seniors and their family members.

Office of Children's Services works in concert with the community to coordinate, develop, expand, and enhance children’s services in Howard County.

Office of Consumer Affairs advocates for consumers in matters involving disputes between consumers and businesses located in Howard County.

Disabilities Services provides information, case management, referral and assistance for housing, transportation, employment, and improved access to public facilities for people with disabilities.
