Deadline Nears for Home Energy Audit
The application deadline for Howard County’s FREE home energy audit program is January 31 at 4 pm. Applications are being accepted at www.livegreenhoward.com. Once selected, homeowners must provide a 12-month history of energy usage for their home. Following the audit, homeowners will receive a report detailing options to improve the energy efficiency in their homes that can save them money and help reduce the County’s carbon footprint.

Since receiving $72 million in federal stimulus funding to manage the Inter-County Broadband Network (ICBN) in 2010, Howard County has been leading the effort to propel the state of Maryland to be a premier economic and technological hub throughout the 21st century. ICBN will directly connect thousands of community anchor institutions across the state, save taxpayers $28 million annually, and provide economic development throughout Maryland.
